FSC®-Certified Wood: Ethically Sourced for Your Fireplace Mantel
In 2025, we took an important step toward making our products more responsible, starting with the materials we use.
Today, most TAGU mantels are manufactured using FSC®-certified wood, sourced from responsibly managed forests. FSC® certification is clearly indicated on the product page where applicable.
What Does FSC® Certification Mean?
FSC® stands for the Forest Stewardship Council, an independent organization that promotes responsible forest management worldwide.
When wood is FSC®-certified, it comes from forests that are managed with care for:
- Natural forest regeneration
- Biodiversity and wildlife
- Fair working conditions
- Legal and transparent sourcing
In short, FSC® certification helps protect forests while allowing them to be used responsibly.

What This Means for You
For FSC®-certified TAGU mantel models, this means that by choosing a TAGU electric fireplace, you may be purchasing a product manufactured using responsibly sourced wood.
The design, performance, and ease of installation remain exactly the same. The difference is in how the materials are sourced.

A Natural Step Forward
At PeFoc.ro, we believe that creating cozy homes and making responsible choices should go hand in hand.
Using FSC®-certified wood for most of our fireplace mantels is part of our ongoing effort to improve what’s behind the product—not just what you see.
Same warmth.
Thoughtfully made.
